Lexus RX400h Hybrid: A Luxury, Environmentally Friendly SUV
Toyota, through Lexus, has moved forward to combine its commitment to environmental friendly and fuel efficient motor vehicles with its finer line of autos. (Toyota has already gained significant recognition -- and important awards -- for its Prius hybrid car line. The Prius is said to be able to travel 8,500 miles and emit the same amount of airborne contaminants as four ounces of nail polish remover.)
While because of its size, the Lexus RX440h hybrid will not be able to match the airborne emissions established by the Prius, the Lexus RX440h hybrid nevertheless will emit a markedly less amount of pollutants than its conventional counterpart. In regard to the Lexus RX440h hybrid, the manufacturer announced recently: "Lexus' tireless environmental efforts have grown out of our genuine respect and concern for the earth's environment. Our concerns range from the gathering and transporting of raw materials to the processing and assembly of vehicle parts, and from the processes at our dealer locations to the handling of materials at the end of a vehicle's life."
In addition to the fact that the engine works in the Lexus RX440h hybrid are far more environmentally friendly than what is found in any other conventional model SUV, Lexus has moved to include environmentally safer components in its overall manufacturing process. For example, within the Lexus RX440h hybrid, a significant number of interior parts and components are made from lightweight, recyclable plastics. Unlike many other motor vehicles being manufactured even today, in crafting the Lexus RX440h hybrid, Lexus uses almost no lead or mercury -- elements which remain in use in some of the component materials in other autos.
The Lexus RX440h hybrid lists at an entry level price in the neighborhood of $40,000. As with its conventional RX330 counterpart, the Lexus RX440h hybrid can be upgraded with a whole host of options. The Lexus RX440h hybrid truly can come with any accoutrement or addition that a luxury loving consumer might desire.
